To what effect the attenuation rate of db/sec and attenuation step changes from stepless 0.02 db to 0.5 db, 1db, 2db and 5db may have on the amplitude of the Bekesy-type audiometry are studied. And, also, an attempt to determine the reaction time DL, from oscilloscopic observation of stroke recording obtained from the amplitude reduced ear and normal ears at 5db steps.

 1. In the normal ear except at the step of 5db, no appreciable change was noted. With continuous tone the average change was 4.42…4.56db and those for interrupted tone it was 4.58-5.18db.

 2. In cars with perceptive deafness the amplitude of the continuous tone showed a tendency to be decreased with the increase in steps of attenuation.

 3. The stroke recording in the normal ear will be registered at 5db step but with the ear hard of hearing it will be registered strongly with a lowered attenuation step at 1db and 0.5 db.

 4. In normal ears stroke recording was shown in all ears at 5db step. In perceptive deafness ears the reaction time was slightly longer.
