An attempt is made to determine by clinical tests the range of one's voice and the scale upon which the conversational voice is carrried.

 (1) The range voice scale.

The voice test were made by taking a tape-recording of the voice pronouncing either, do, re, mi scale or simple ah…in consonance with playing of an organ as a guide.

 (2) Conversational voice.

The conversational voice is first recorded on a tape and the scale with which it was maintained was determined by comparing it to the tune of an organ. It was revealed that when the subject pronounces simple ah…, the quality of that voice generally fall quite close to that of the conversational. This may be termed as the voice at an indifferent position.
