上咽頭異物—症例報告とその文献的考察

　Ⅰ．まえがき

　上咽頭異物症例の報告は，比較的に少なくわが国における報告第1号例（細矢・大正15年）（鳥山他^1）による）以後30余例を文献上に見出すにすぎない。が，経口的に異物を誤嚥した場合，上咽頭部の精査が行なわれず，さらにX線透視検査においてももつぱら胸・腹部の探索に終始し診断処置を誤ることの危険を強調したい。ここに上咽頭異物の自験例を報告し，文献的考察を加えた。

　An infant, aged 1 year and 2 months-old, misswallowed a screw while playing with a toy. Though the emergency examination by a pediatrician, it was not seen in the throat, chest and abdomen. Three days later, the metal screw lodged in the epipharynx was discovered and removed with a forceps. The patient recovered uneventfully. Literature review and brief comments were made.
