前頭洞の骨形成性骨線維腫症例

　緒言

　骨腫瘍の分類そしてterminologyには少なからぬ混乱が残されている。従って，臨床家が自家経験例の診断及び治療に難渋を感じることも屡々である。

　私の経験した骨形成性骨線維腫ossifying fibromaも骨腫瘍の特殊的な型であり，その診断並びに治療の全経過を通じて反省すべき多くの点を持つている。ここに発表する目的は，1）骨形成性骨線維腫が前頭洞に現われるのは非常に稀とされているから文献上に一例を加えること。2）臨床的に馴染が少なく，然も肉腫に似た面をもつているためか肉腫と誤つて診断，治療されることも多い。このような誤りを避けるために一臨床例を報告するためである。

　An ossifying fibroma which occurred in the right frontal sinus of a girl, aged 10, was successfully removed and cured. The patient was operated about 1 year and a half after the appearance of the initial symptom exophthalmos. About a year after the first operation the patient was again operated for reconstruction of nasofrontal duct ; the results were satisfactory.

　The fibroma measured 4.0×4.2×4.2cm forming an irregular sphere, brownish in color with evidence of intracellular hemorrhage which was rather roughly soft to touch. Microscopically immature calcified bony trabeculae were recognized in abundance.
