小児にみられた偏側性耳下腺腫脹の2症例

Unilateral Parotid Swelling in Children

　I．はじめに

　小児期に耳下腺腫脹をみることは決してまれではない。もつとも多発するものは，いうまでもなく流行性耳下腺炎（mumps）によるものであつて，大多数の小児が，これに罹患すると考えられている。しかし，これ以外にも，耳下腺腫脹をみることがあり，そのような症例では，かえつて確定診断に苦しむ場合が少なくない。われわれは，今回，診断学的に興味ある2症例を経験したのでここに報告して，御批判をあおぎたい。

　Two cases of unilateral parotid swelling in children were reported. In both cases, marked eosinophilia in peripheral blood was noted in association with recurrent or long-standing swelling in the unilateral parotid region.

　Tentative diagnosis of recurrent parotitis and Histiocytosis X was suggested and the first cases was successfully treated with steroid preparation and the second was treated with X ray irradiation as well.

　A discussion was made from the standpoint of differential diagnosis with historical review of these two clinical entities.
