外傷性蝶形骨洞異物の2症例

　副鼻腔全体の外傷性異物はさほど稀なものではないが，その存在部位は上顎洞・篩骨洞に比較的多く，蝶形骨洞には珍らしい。これは解剖的関係によるものと惟われる。

　われわれは相前後して2例の外傷性蝶形骨洞異物に遭遇したのでここにその治験例を報告しあわせて各副鼻腔異物と対比して蝶形骨洞異物を文献的に考察してみたいと思う。

　Two cases of traumatic foreign body of the sphenoid sinus are reported. An air-rifle shot entered through the region of inner canthus of the left eye, in a boy aged 14, and lodged in the sphenoid sinus as a foreign body; the shot was removed 4 days later by operation through the maxillary sinus approach. In the second case, a glass bead 12mm in diameter was shot through the right inner canthus of a boy, aged 9, by means of a hand-made air-rifle that lodged in the sphenoid sinus; the foreign body was removed surgically by a combined maxillary sinus and external nasal approaches. Other similar cases in the literature are cited and reviewed.
