所謂中耳根治手術後療法に対する1つの試み

　現今，鼓室形成術，内耳開窓術等の進歩に依り中耳に対する手術は耳内法が多く行われるに至つているが，其他の場合には未だ多くは耳後法を採用している趨勢にある。

　而して耳後法に依つた場合（所謂中耳根治手術の際），耳後創を1次的に縫合する場合と2次的に閉鎖する場合があるが，何れにしても骨性の創腔の内面には非薄な健康肉芽層が出来，此は後に薄い結合組織に変り，この結合組織の表面をその周囲から進入した表皮で被覆する事を期待する。

Under ordinary circumstances a dead space is bound to be created in the temporal bone after mastoidectomies and operative procedures against petrositis. In order to obviate crea-tion of such a space the author devises the use of temporal muscle as a filler by making a muscular flap, after its full exposure, with a horizontal U-shaped incision. The wound is sutured after the muscle flap is firmly secur-ed in the space.
