先天性正中頸嚢腫の一症例と文献的考察

　甲状舌管残胎に起因すると考えられている先天性正中頸嚢腫に関する報告は，内外を問わず多数あり，決して稀有な疾患とは考えられないが，最近外国及び日本の他の病院に於いて6回にわたる手術をしたが，なお再発したため当教室を訪れた1例を経験したので，ここにその経過及び当教室における手術について報告する。

A branchial cyst in a woman, aged 33, failed to be healed after 6 consecutive opera-tions that were performed through the mouth. Recovery was finally obtained when the exterpation of the cyst was performed which included a portion of the hyoid bone in its extent. The authors believe that, in order to cure a persistent branchial cyst, a partial resection of the hyoid bone is highly essen-tial ; no untoward effect is seen by that resection.
