鼓膜穿孔と耳鳴

　Politzerは全耳疾患の2/3に耳鳴を訴えると述べ，Fowlerは1000名の患者を調査した所その56.6％に耳鳴があつたと述べている。

　私共^1）が滋賀県の難聴による身体障害者を調査した結果によれば，その175名中69名が耳鳴を訴えその内伝音系疾患によるものと考えられるものが，28名あつた。耳鳴の成因については不明な所が多く現代の医学にとり残された謎の孤島であるとも云われ，そのためその治療法も進歩していない。

　Kaizuka employed preserved amniotic sac in repair of tympanic membrane perforations in order to relieve the complaints of tinnitus among patients with such perforations. Among 65 patients treated in this way 11 reported that their symptoms of tinnitus were greatly relieved a soon as the perforation was covered over.

　This particular type of tinnitus appears to be characterized by being a low pitched continuous tone, unifluenced by vascvlar changes or vibratory movements but, a pressure applied to the carotid artery would cause its tonal change or a decrease in the volume.
