耳鼻咽喉科領域に於けるイルガピリンの手術後応用に就いて

　1．緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域の手術には最近全身麻酔が普及しつゝあるが，その適症，設備，使用法費用等の諸問題の為に依然として局所麻酔が使用されているのが現状である。術中の局所麻酔に関しては諸先輩の研究努力の結果現在では殆んどその目的を達する様になつた。然し術後疼痛に関しては後出血と共に尚研究されねばならぬ課題が残されている様に思う。最近，神尾，神辺が扁摘後の疼痛緩解に就て研究を行つていることは興味深い。

　私は最近ロイマチス治療剤としてのイルガピリンの使用により少数例ではあるが術後疼痛緩解について注目すべきものがあつたので報告する。

MIYAZAKI rsys that "Irigapirin" the drug used in treatment of rheumatism is highly effective towards alleviating postoperative pain. In 9 cases the patients were eased with one injection each of 5cc of this agent. The action of this drug is said to be due to its property of causing vasoconstriction thereby relieving the edema of inflammation which in turn results in relief of pain.
