TAKAHASHI AND KANEKO maintain that, after trying out Molyodol solutions in various strengths and the position of the head in different ways, the most satisfactory means by which roentgenography of maxillary sinus is obtained wouli be one that employed 3cc. of 15 per cent Molyodol instilled in the sinus thr-ough a puncture needle that had been previously introduced into that cavity and in which the head is held in such a position, with the pati-ent in prone, as to allow vertical exposure to roentgen rays. Proetz's method establishes gradual filling of the sinus with radio-opaque agent and exposure is made in such a way as to show the line of fluid-level of opacity. But, in order that a picture worthy of diagnostic evaluation may be obtained the present method that allows roentgeen-rays to traverse perpen-dicularly to the fluid-level appears to be much more preferable.
