KITAMURA AND ISHIURA report a case of pneumosinus frontalis. A man aged 23 complainer of the presence of round hard sweiling on the middle of his forehead and the indudation of which extending laterally and downward into both orbital fossae. By means of radiography and paracentesis it was established that this enlargement was involving the bone of frontal sinus and its content was air. After surgicall removal of the bony elevation and enlargement of the ostium of the frontal sinus were instituted the patient made an uneventful recovery. A etiologically considered this condition may arise when a previously existing mucocele somehow loses its content and the remnant ef which serves the functio of valve-like action in entrapping air in the sinus cavity. The criteria for radiographic diagnosis of this condition seemed to be the presence of large air-filled cavity whose outline would be quite clear in similarity that of normal sinus. The present case is the 9th on the list which has been reported in the literature.
