緒言
余は鼻腔生理殊に通氣度に関する教室研究の一環として,余の考案せる器具を用い正常鼻腔を有する者の通氣度を測定し
(1)正常鼻腔に於て左右鼻腔に於て通氣量に差異のある事.
(2)其の差の程度.
(3)吸氣及び呼氣中に於ける鼻入口部の最大流量
等を知り,一定の結論を得たので報告する次第である.
Yamawaki determined with use of kymographion of the author's own devise the normal volume flow of air through the nasal cavities in braething when the body was at resting position to establish thereby a physiological coefficient. Comparative study of normal and diseased condition was made under the premises. Thus examined it was revealed that a person without subjective complaints of impaired nasal breathing who considers himself normal may be found with certain amount of impairment on one side of nose. The term, latent nasal jmpairment, was applied to this condition. It was also established that there are definite difference in the volume of air through the right and left nasal cavity under physiological conditions.
