中頭蓋窩海綿状血管腫に対する放射線療法—特に遅発性効果について

Delayed Effect of Radiation Therapy on Extracerebral Cavernous Angioma in the Middle Fossa

I．緒言

　中頭蓋窩海綿状血管腫は，脳内に発生したものと異なり，その著しい出血のため摘出が困難である．そこで，左中頭蓋窩を満たす巨大な海綿状血管腫の1症例において，放射線照射を行ったところ，50Gy終了時では照射前の63％までしか縮小しなかったが，その後は時間経過とともに縮小し続け，1年7カ月後にはほぼ消失し，2年後の現在も消失したままである．中頭蓋窩海綿状血管腫に対する放射線療法の遅発性効果について報告する．

This is a report of a case with extracerebral caver-nous angioma in the middle fossa which had received radiation therapy. Follow-up study with serial com-puted tomography during and after irradiation were presented.

A 62-year-old housewife complained of vertigo. CT scan revealed a slightly high density area in the left middle cranial fossa which was markedly enhanced with contrast meclia. Left carotid angiography demons-trated a large avascular mass in the left middle fossa and no feeding artery or draining vein was visualized except a faint irregular stain in the venous phase.
