I．はじめに

　symptomatic Rathke’s cleft cystは稀であり，1920年Duffy^6）の最初の手術例以来，Yoshidaら^23）は20例を集計しており，その後の報告を合わせても41例の文献報告をみる程度である^{1,2,5,7-16,20-22）}．

　本稿ではRathke’s cleft cystの2例を報告する．第1例は典型的なsympto-matic Rathke’s cleft cystであり，第2例は脳動脈瘤の手術時，偶然に発見されたものである．しかし，第2例もその病歴中に，視神経障害や下垂体機能低下を強く示唆する症状が既にあり，一応symptomatic，もしくはsubclinicalRathke’s cleft cystと考えた．

Two cases of Rathke's cleft cysts were reported. Case 1. A 57-year-old man was admitted to ourhospital on Sep. 29th. 1982, complaining of visualfield defect. Visual acuity was 0.7 in the left eye and0.1 in the right eye. Visual field examination revealedupper temporal quadrantanopsia on the left side andincomplete temporal hemianopia on the right side.He was neurologically free otherwise. Endocrino-logical study disclosed general hypopituitarism exceptfor elevated serum prolactin level. CT scan showeda high density mass in the enlarged sellar cavity ex-tending to suprasellar area.
