Rathke's cleft cyst is a rather rare tumor, and itis difficultto differentiate clinically from craniopharyngiomaand otherintra- or suprasellar tumors. Histological featureof Rathke'scleft cyst is a cyst lined with a single layer ofciliated epithel-ium and goblet cells. But stratified squamousepithelium isoccasionally found in this tumor, and it resemblesthesquamous cell type of cranipharyngioma.

The authors experienced three cases of Rathke'scleft cyst.In two of the three stratified squamous epitheliumwaspartially found.
