The distribution patterns of aminergic and cho-linergic nerve fibers in the feline spinal blood vesselswere studied by means of amine histofluorescence andacetylcholinesterase (AChE) staining. The anteriorspinal artery had a dense network of aminergic andAChE-positive (probably cholinergic) nerve fibers.The posterior spinal vein, in contrast, had only aminer-gic nerve fibers. Intraparenchymal small blood vesselsin the spinal cord also had strongly fluorescent (probablyperipheral) aminergic nerve fibers.
