One Piece Silastic Lumboperitoneal Shunt

I．はじめに

　水頭症に対する髄液短絡術には種々の方法があるが，近年，交通性水頭症に対して腰部くも膜下腔-腹腔吻合術（LPシャント）が再び注目されてきた．本邦においても，桑名ら^3）が開発したLPシャントが普及している．われわれはLPシャントをより簡便に行う目的でonepieceのLPシャントを試作し使用してきたが，術後最長3年間の経過観察を行うことができ，満足のできる結果を得たことより，若干の考察を加えて報告する．

We have developed a one piece silastic lumboperi-toneal shunt. Outer diameter of the tube is 1.65±0.05 mm and inner diameter is 0.90±0.05mm. The hard-ness of the tube is 70 shore ﾟA. The length of the slitof the tube is 5.5 mm for the medium pressure tube (opening pressure: 10-13 cmH₂O, closed pressure : 8-10 cmH₂O) and 4.5 mm for the high pressure tube (opening pressure : 15-18 cmH₂O, closed pressure : 12-16 cmH₂O). Total length of the tube is 50 cm for infant and 70 cm for adult.
