  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Serum β-methasone level was measured in selective 14 patients and CSF β-methasone level also in 5 patients of them. Clinical effect of β-methasone was examined on each 40 patients with brain tumor and subarachnoid hemorrhage, who had no operation or took β-methasone before operation.

From the viewpoint of clinical effect and serum β-methasone level, first method (initial dosage of 8mg. I.V., then 4mg. I.M. q. 6 hrs.) is more effective than the second method (initial dosage of 8mg. IV., then 4mg. I.M.q.12 hrs.).
