I．はじめに

　副鼻腔炎に合併する眼障害は古くから知られている．この場合，前頭洞より発生したものは部位的に比較的診断が容易であるが，後部副鼻腔由来の疾患はしばしば診断が困難なときがある．とりわけ，のう腫を伴わず，慢性の後部副鼻腔炎のみで眼症状を呈する疾患は稀であり，はたして副鼻腔炎と眼症状とが関連のあるものかどうか判断しかねる場合がある．われわれはこのような慢性副鼻腔炎に合併した視力障害を主訴とする2症例を経験したので報告する．

Case 1. A 38-year-old male was admitted with an8-monthhistory of progressive visual disturbance in hisright eye. Hehad a past history of operations for paranasalsinusitis 24-years and 5 years prior to admission. Neurologicalex-amination revealed right anosmia, left hyposmia andvisionin his right eye reducing to light perception.

Case 2. A 61-year-old male was admitted withcomplaintof headache and a 2-month history of deterioratingvisionin his right eye. On admission, vision in his righteye wasfound to he reduced to hand motions and associatedwith aconcentric contraction of the visual field.
