  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Approximately 30% or more of patients with nasopharyngeal malignant tumors develop neurological disorders, and 16 to 17% of the patients present neurological symptoms as an initial manifestation of the disease. Although the incidence of nasopharyngeal malignant tumor in Japan (0.1 to 0.2 per 100,000 population per year) is considerably lower than that in the United States or European countries (0.35 to0.55), patients with unexplained single or multiple cranial nerve lesions or Homer's syndrome should always be studied for nasopharyngeal malignant diseases.

In this paper, 5 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were reported.
