  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

This thirty-six year old house wife first noticed right orbital pain four years prior to her admission to our neurosurgical department. Six months after the onset of the initial symptom, she visited an ophthalmologist because of right orbital pain and blurred vision. Slight visual field defect and papilledema of the right eye were recognized at that time. One year later, scotoma, papilledema with pale disk and slight exophthalmos of the right eye were observed. However, visual acuity of the right eye remained normal. CT scan showed a right intraorbital tumor. Fluorescein angiography revealed socalled optociliary veins.
