腰部脊椎管狭窄症のミエログラフィー—神経原性間歇性跛行との関連

Myelographical Findings of the Lumbar Canal Stenosis: Special Reference to Neurogenic Intermittent Claudication

Ⅰ．はじめに

　Verbiest^56,57）が腰部脊椎管の狭小化のため，種々の馬尾神経障害，ことに間歇性跛行がおこる疾患を初めて紹介してから20年余になる．その間，多くの研究者によりまちまちの定義，分類が発表され，その名称のみを挙げてもlumbar spinal stenosis^3,39,41），developmental narrowing of the lumbar vertebral canal^16,56,57），neurogenic intermittent claudication^20,63）intermittent cauda equina compression syndrome^15,65），pseudoclaudication syndrome^33），small lumbar spinal canal^{1,8,13,14,62）}，intermittent claudication of the cauda eyuina^5），stenosis of the lumbar spine^40），intermittent ischemia of the cauda equina^29）などと枚挙にいとまがない．

In the last 20 years an increasing interest in the syndrome elicited by a stenotic lumbar spinal canal has revealed a number of etiological and pathological factors, and the new definition and classification were advocated in the world congress in 1975.

In 30 cases of major type of lumbar canal stenosis of our series, 21 patients showed signs of intermittent claudication.
