  • Look Inside

A case of spinal cord tumor in which papilledema was a sole manifestation was reported.

A 25-year-old house wife was admitted to the Neurosurgical Department of Sapporo Medical College Hospital on December 4, 1973, because of papilledema. On admission there were no abnormal neurological findings except for bilateral papilledema. Lumbar punctures on several occasions disclosed the openning pressure ranging between 170-370mmH2O. Cells and protein in the CSF were normal. Neurological and neuroradiological examinations were all normal. She was discharged on December 26, 1973, as the dehydration therapy appeared to have improved papilledema.
