I．はじめに

　脊髄腫瘍にはしばしば広範囲に発育するものがあり，なかにはほぼ全脊髄にまで及ぶものも存在する．このような例は，holocord tumorあるいはentiree cord tumorなどの名称で報告されているが，実際に経験されることは稀であり，またその診断および治療という観点からも問題の多い疾患である．著者らは，第4頸髄より脊髄円錐に至る嚢腫性脊髄星細胞腫の1例を経験し剖検を行う機会を得たので，文献的考察を加えて報告する．

This report describes a case of cystic astrocytomathat extended from C4 to the conus, and reviews intra-medullary holocord tumors.

A two-year-old body was admitted because of gaitdisturbance. He had suffered from rigidity of hisleft upper and lower limbs and thoracic scoliosis for sixmonths prior to admission. On admission, neurolo-gic examination revealed spastic paraparesis withmuscle atrophy of the left lower extremity, sphincterdisturbances and neck rigidity. All deep tendonreflexes were bilaterally hyperactive.
