  • Look Inside

The characteristic electrical activity of the Vim(ventralis intermedius) nucleus in the human thalamus and its morphological features were described and the role of the Vim neuron in "neural mechanism of tremor" was discussed. In the human thalamus, the Vim nucleus has been defined as darkly stained, scattered large neuron group between ventralis lateralis and ventralis caudalis nucleus. This anatomical findings was fully confirmed by our own histological study using normal human thalamus.
