  • Look Inside

Various types of involuntary movements, such as tremor, choreoathetoid movements, and oral dyskinesias, are frequently observed in the aged. This study is an attempt to clarify the following three problems. First, to what extent do vascular lesions in the basal ganglia play the role as a cause of involuntary movements in the aged? Second, are there any relationship between the types of involuntary movements and locations of vascular lesions? Third, does the incidence of each type of involuntary movements change with age? If it does, what is the reasons of the change?
