はじめに

　CTスキャンが，脳疾患，とくに腫瘍の診断に際して今日最もすぐれた手段であることはいうまでもない。腫瘍がどのような性質のものであるかに関する判断は別として，存在に関しては造影前ならびに造影後のスキャンを行なうと97％以上の診断率とされている。

　ここでは脳腫瘍のうち神経膠腫と転移性腫瘍を中心に特徴的CT所見，鑑別を要する疾患および質的診断の可能性について述べることにする。

Abstract

　CT is the most accurate diagnostic methodavailable today for the detecting brain tumors.

　Usually mosts of the CT findings are pathologic but not pathognomonic, so it is important to combine CT with other neuroradiologic procedures such as angiogram and pneumogram to arrive at the specific diagnosis. Advantage of CT in the diagnosis of the brain tumors is as follows.

　1) Easy detection of the associated calcification and blood.

　2) Accurate demonstration of the associatedventricular deformity.

　3) Easy evaluation of the subarachnoid or ventricular seeding.

4) Easy diagnosis of the multiplicity
