失語症の言語治療

Language therapy for aphasia

はじめに

　失語症の言語治療は，相互に補足し合う二つの側面から成る。その第1は，患者の言語運用能力そのものの改善を目的として，患者に直接働きかける領域であり，これが狭い意味での言語治療（ないし言語訓練）に相当する。第2の側面は，患者の生活圏内に入る人々（とりわけ家族）に対する助言，指導，障害の受容の援助，補助的コミュニケーション手段の開発などを介して間接的にコミュニケーションの促進をはかるmanagementの領域である。

　本稿では，前者すなわち狭い意味での言語治療に焦点をしぼり，そのよって立つ理論的裏づけ（ないし症状改善の機序），訓練の原則と方法について述べ，今後の課題と展望などにも触れることにしたい。

Clinical procedures in speech pathology consist of a series of dynamically interacting steps, i.e., gathering necessary information about the com-munication problem in question by means of observational and testing methods (Step 1); framing hypotheses about the nature and causa-tion of the problem on the basis of the critical analysis of the data gathered in Step 1 (Step 2): and testing these hypotheses through therapeutic intervention (Step 3).
