脊髄小脳変性症の病理

On the neuropathology of spino-cerebellar degeneration

I．はじめに

　脊髄小脳変性症の病理学的所見には症例ごとに特徴があって，これをいくつかの類型に区別して整理しようとする古くからの試みはいずれも多くの困難と不完全さを持っていた。Netzky^26）のようにやや極端な悲観論まではゆかなくとも最近の多くの著者は，いわば無系列，無分類化とでもいうべき記載を行なっている。

　私どもはこの小論で脊髄小脳変性症を，できるだけ最近の進歩した小脳生理学の知見に則して類型化しようと考え，またとくに小脳系と錐体外路系とのかかわりあいの問題を重要視して組み込んでみようと試みた。

Concerning the cerebello-spinal degeneration, nothing seemed to be added to the pathological findings already described in the literature since a century ago. What was treated here is "the topography and the nature of the extra-cerebellar and/or extraspinal lesions together with their clinico-pathological correlation in the course of this disease".Recent neuropathological classification of the cerebello-spinal degeneration tends to become less and less categorical.
