脊髄小脳変性症の遺伝序説—本態性疾患の遺伝をどう整理するか

Genetics of spino-cerebellar degenerations

　脊髄小脳変性症は家族性に現われることが多く，その診療や研究に遺伝的方法を用いることができる。

　本稿の目的は，この群の疾患の成因，症候の形成，分類，診断などにおける遺伝的問題に触れることであるが，この群の疾患はかかる検討の対象としてはもっとも不適当であるため，明確な結論は得難い。そこで本稿では既知知見の展望とともに，将来の研究への足場や問題点に重点をおくことにする。

Hereditary ataxias or spinocerebellar degenera-tions (SCD) represent a heterogeneous group of diseases affecting cerebellum and its related connections. A number of subgroups of SCD has been classified on the ground of clinical and pathological features but atypical or"intermediate" cases prevented a distinct classification from being established.

SCD runs often in a family, but its genetic analysis has yielded little clear-cut results.
