  • Look Inside

A case of apallic syndrome was reported in a 50-year-old motorman with interval type of acute carbon monoxide poisoning. In this case we discussed on the declining "process" of motor function to akinesia, one of the main symptoms of apallic syndrome.

The patient had lost consciousness for over 22 hours due to exposure with a burning briquet brazier. Following lucid interval for 19 days, he became mute and expressionless. Several days after he could not start to step forwards without leading him by the hand, but stood up without instability.
