　ふくらはぎ（こむら）の疼痛性筋収縮は俗にこむら返りと呼ばれ，私たちも一度ならず経験がある。このこむらがえりと同様の現象が，全身の筋におこり，さらに脱毛，下痢，生長障害など奇異，多彩な症候を呈する疾患は，1963年，里吉により「全身こむら返り病」として報告された。以来ここに呈示する例を含めて13例知られており^1〜6），うち3例は剖検に付されている^7）がいまだその本態は不明である。著者はこの疾患の多彩な症候，またそのほとんどに下痢がみられる点に注目し，1自験例について腸管吸収障害に関する検索を行なった。ここにその知見を報告し本疾患の病態に関する考察を加えたい。

Some laboratory examinations about the function of absorption in the gastro-intestinal tract were done in a female patient of 21 years old with general muscle cramps (KOMURAGAERI dis-ease).

The results were following: 1) Oral glucose tolerance test revealed a flat pattern of the serum glucose level. 2) The level of triglyceride in serum showed decreasing curve by fat loading test, which was only the diurnal rhythm.
