Ⅰ．緒言

　本症がShy ＆ Magee^1）（1956）によって初めて報告され，Greenfield，Cornman ＆ Shy^2）（1958）によってcentral core diseaseと名づけられて以来，欧米の症例報告は漸次蓄積されている^3〜18）。しかしながら本邦患者についてはいまだその報告がみられていない。著者らは最近脊椎側彎姉妹の姉に認められた本症の1例を経験し第16回日本神経病理学会学術研究会などに発表した^19,20）が，その後また別の家系で高度の脊椎側彎を伴う他の1例を経験したので併せて2例を報告する。以下症例を提示し，家族歴上の特徴・発見の発端・合併病態・発症に関する修飾因子・成長と訓練による症状の改善・症候と検査所見などを検討，とくに筋病変に関する組織学的・組織化学的・電顕的検索結果につき比較する。またさらに本症に関する文献的考察を加え，本態・成因に関する問題点を論ずる。

　The first two cases of Japanese patient with central core disease in different families were reported.

　A 14-year-old school-girl (case 1, 1974) and a 28-year-old single woman (case 2, 1975) admitted in scoliosis and non-progressive proximal muscle weakness, and muscle biopsy revealed a central core disease in each case.

Case 1 showed small stature with mild scoliosis (144 cm in height, 30 kg in weight), moderate proximal muscle weakness and atrophy predominant in the lower extremities, difficulty in standing-up and running, and normal intelligence.
