Vascular lesions in the cerebellar hemisphere: Some remarks on clinicopathological features and a peculiar eye movement

I．はじめに

　人の小脳に動物にみられるような詳細な機能のlocalizationがあるか否かは，十分には明らかでない。ことに，小脳半球障害の症候について，動物実験によりえられた成績と，人の臨床・剖検例における成績との間には，なお，大きなgapがある。このgapをいかにして埋めるかが，今後の課題である。

　この報告の目的は，老年者の臨床・剖検例にみられた小脳の血管障害について，その病巣の分布と臨床知見との関連を追究すること，および，特異な眼球運動について報告することにある。

　1. In the cerebellum, hemorrhage occurs predominantly in the dentate nucleus and its neighboring areas; while infarction in the cortical as well as subcortical portion of the hemispheres.

　In general, prognosis of the patients with cerebellar hemorrhage who had showed neocerebellar syndrome was good. Diagnosis of massive cerebellar hemorrhage was occasionally difficult. However, a combination of the head rotation to the side of the lesions with concomitant horizontal eye deviations to the contralateral, is an important clue to diagnose massive cerebellar hemorrhage on clinical grounds.
