遺伝子ターゲティング法によりマウス個体レベルでの遺伝子機能を探ることが可能となった。われわれはFyn欠損マウスの解析によりFynが脳機能形成に重要であることを明らかにした。ここではFyn欠損マウスの解析を解説し,脳機能をもたらした遺伝子の役割について考察する。
The mammalian behaviour is regulated by an enormous neural network. The question is how these neural networks are systematically formed during development and how they regulate behaviours. Fyn is a member of the Src family kinase, a non-receptor tyrosine kinase and its deficiency causes several anatomical and behavioural defects. Thus, Fyn signalling pathway should offer insights into the morphological and behavioural events in the mammalian nervous system. We will focus to molecular function of Fyn during brain formation and on learning, emotional and suckling behaviour formation.
