近年，コンピューターの計算能力が飛躍的に向上したことにより，機械学習の一種であるニューラルネットワークの利用が可能となった。ニューラルネットワークによる学習器は画像解析の分野に革命をもたらし，病理画像の自動診断技術が実用化されつつある。さらに，近年の組織透明化技術の発展は病理診断の3次元化の可能性を拓きつつある。3次元病理学は組織の3次元的なコンテクストの観察を可能とし，近い将来，機械学習による自動診断の精度をさらに向上させ得ると期待される。

Abstract

Rapid improvements in computing power are advancing machine learning technology using neural networks, revolutionizing the field of image analysis and allowing for automated diagnosis of pathological images. In addition, the recent development of tissue clearing technology introduces the possibility of three-dimensional (3D) pathology. The scheme of 3D pathology allows for the collection of the 3D context of tissue and would contribute to improved accuracy of automatic pathological diagnosis by machine learning.
