Abstract

Rapid improvements in computing power are advancing machine learning technology using neural networks, revolutionizing the field of image analysis and allowing for automated diagnosis of pathological images. In addition, the recent development of tissue clearing technology introduces the possibility of three-dimensional (3D) pathology. The scheme of 3D pathology allows for the collection of the 3D context of tissue and would contribute to improved accuracy of automatic pathological diagnosis by machine learning.
