　72歳，女性。主訴は嘔吐，下痢。諸検査にて左腎被膜由来の腫瘍を疑ったが，左腎細胞癌や左腎肉腫なども否定できず，左腎全摘除術を施行した。病理組織学的には，腎被膜から発生した悪性線維性組織球腫であった。その後，補助化学療法を施行して経過観察中であるが，術後10か月の現在，再発・移転の徴候は認めない。腎および腎被膜から発生する悪性線維性組織球腫は稀であり，自験例は本邦30例目に相当する。

A 72-year-old female was admitted with the chief com-plaints of vomiting and diarrhea. Imaging studies including CT scan, MRI and angiography revealed a solid tumor adjacent to the left kidney. Renal capsular tumor was highly suspected, however, renal tumor was not ruled out com-pletely. Thus left total nephrectomy was performed. His-tological diagnosis was malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) arising from renal capsule. To our knowleage, this is the 30th case of MFH arising from the kidney in Japan.
