患者は67歳の男性。前立腺腫瘍の疑いで，経直腸的針生検術を施行した。組織学的には紡鐘形ないし巨細胞様の腫瘍細胞が花むしろ状配列を示す軟部腫瘍で，α-1-アンチキモトリプシンによる免疫抗体法が陽性であったため悪性線維性組織球腫と診断された。患者は多発性肝転移もあり，積極的治療を行えず，多臓器不全のため死亡した。
A 67-year-old man was admitted for prostatic tumor. CT scan showed a large low density tumor occupying small pelvis. Transrectal prostatic biopsy was performed. The histological diagnosis was soft tissue sarcoma of stori-form pattern.
lmmunohistological examination on α-1-antichymotryp-sin revealed malignant fibrous histiocytoma. The patient died due to multiple organ failure.
