食道癌腎転移の1例

55歳の男性，1991年10月に食道癌（扁平上皮癌）の根治手術をうけた。
1992年5月頃より肉眼的血尿をきたし同年10月に受診したところ，右腎に腫瘍が認められた。画像診断上，食道癌の腎転移が疑われ，他に転移所見がなかったので右腎摘除術を施行した。組織は扁平上皮癌で食道癌の転移と診断した。転移性腎腫瘍は生存中に発見されることは比較的稀である。
A 55-year-old man was hospitalized because of macrohematuria. He had been treated for esophageal carcinoma (squamous cell carcinoma) with radical surgery one year earlier. Abdominal US, CT and angiography revealed a tumor of the right kidney. Right nephrectomy was performed. Pathologecal examina-tion revealed squamous cell carcinoma, metastatic from the esophageal carcinoma.
Metastasis to the kidney is common in autopsy, but, it is uncommon to be manifested clinically.
