78歳，男性．紅皮症の診断を受け，悪性腫瘍の検索をしたところ前立腺癌が見つかった．前立腺癌の治療（内分泌化学療法）とともに前立腺酸性フォスファターゼ，前立腺特異抗原（RIA）の低下が起こり，これと平行して皮膚症状の軽減が認められた．本例は，本邦で2例目の前立腺癌が原因で生じた紅皮症と思われた．
A-78-year-old male with erythroderma was referred to our department for further investigation.Prostatic carcinoma was diagnosed by needle biopsy. Antiandrogen and chemotherapy was begun andmarked improvement of carcinoma as well as erythroderma was noticed with a simultaneous decrease of PAand PAP (RIA). No other malignancies were found. This is the second case report of prostatic carcinomawith erythroderma in Japan.
