患者は23歳，女性。上腹部不快感を主訴に来院した。CTなどにより左腎上部の後腹膜奇形腫と診断し，腫瘍摘出術を行った。病理組織学的には成熟型嚢胞性奇形腫であった。手術に先立ち，腫瘤の病変の範囲を正確に把握するのにMRIが有用であった。
A retroperitoneal mature teratoma arising from a vicinity of the upper pole of the right kidney in an 23 year old woman is described.
The plain anteropostrior radiograph showed calcific shadow in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen.A primary cystic teratoma was suggested in the retroperitoneum by CT and MRI. Suggital MRI examinationwas useful to determine the extend of the mass and to distinguish the mass from adjacent structures andorgans.
