腎摘出術後に代償性肥大を呈した発育不全腎

44歳．男性。急性膵炎で入院後の精査で，右腎細胞癌と左発育不全腎を発見した。右根治的腎摘出術を施行した。術後，一時血夜透析を必要としたが，左発育不全腎の代償性肥大とともに血液透析から離脱した。私たちが調べ得た限りでは，腎摘出術後に対側の発育不全腎に代償性肥大を認めたという報告はない。
A 44-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with the chief complaint of epigastralgia for acute pancreatitis. Abdominal CT incidentally revealed right renal cell carcinoma associated with left hypo-plastic kidney. Right nephrectomy was carried out successfully. Temporary hemodialysis was required for post-operative acute renal failure. 11 months after the operation, he remains without any sign of metastasis. Abdominal CT demonstrated compensatory hypertrophy of left hypoplastic kidney.
