We evaluated urinary disturbance and urinary tract infection in patients with cerebrovascular disease. Of 135 patients 86% complained some urinary disturbances, and 47% had urinary tract infection. The patients with poor activity of daily living had higher incidence of urinary disturbance and urinary tract infection. After 3 month rehabilitation and urological management, the incidence of urinary tract infection decreased to 21%. It was found that the improvement of the urinary tract infection correlated with the improvement of activity of daily living.
