ネフローゼ症候群に対する両側腎塞栓療法

THERAPEUTIC OCCLUSION OF THE BILATERAL RENAL ARTERIES IN SEVERE NEPHROTIC SYNDROME

　67歳，男性。30年来，蛋白尿を指摘されていたが，全身浮腫が出現，経口摂取が困難栄養状態が悪化したため入院した。高度の蛋白尿と低蛋白血症，高窒素血症を伴うネフローゼ症候群としてステロイド療法，血液透析を施行したが改善せず，両側腎動脈塞栓術を施行した。血清蛋白は正常化し，週3回透析にて全身状態は良好に維持された。残念して塞栓7か月，膵癌にて死亡した。

A 67-year-old male who had complained of general edema and malnutrition was admitted under the diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome with severe protenuria and renal insufficiency. In spite of steroids therapy and hemodialysis his general condition was deteriorated. By embolization of the bilateral renal arteries the patient became anuric and his general condition had been kept well until he expired of pancreas cancer seven months after the embolization.
