3例の浸潤性膀胱扁平上皮癌に対し，膀胱部分切除術を施行し，経過観察のため血清SCC抗原を測定した。3例とも局所再発や，治療に対応して，血清SCC抗原は増減した。血清SCC抗原は膀胱扁平上皮癌の病勢の推移を知るのに有用であった。
Serum SCC antigen was measured in three patients with invasive squamous cell cancer of the bladder. The antigen decreased after excision of the bladder cancer and increased when the cancer recurred. Serum SCC antigen is considered to be a useful marker in treating squamous cell cancer of the bladder.
