　2例の進行性膀胱扁平上皮癌に対し，M-VAC（methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, cis—platin）療法を施行した。M-VAC療法は，扁平上皮癌に対しては，無効であったとする報告が多いが，われわれの経験した膀胱扁平上皮癌の2例はM-VAC療法で完全寛解が得られた。確立された化学療法のない進行性膀胱扁平上皮癌の治療法のひとつとしてM-VAC療法は適応される可能性が示された。

Two cases of invasive squamous cell carcinoma of the bladder were treated with M-VAC therapy, andcomplete remission was observed in both cases. Although M-VAC therapy had been extremely effectiveagainst transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary tract, many authers had reported their failure in treatmentof the squamous cell carcinoma of the urinary tract. Our result indicates that M-VAC therapy may be achoice of treatment against the advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the urinary tract.
