　36歳，女性。主訴は左側腹部痛。1986年9月2日，左副腎腫瘍（ホルモン非活性型）の診断のもとに左副腎摘出術を施行した。摘出物は病理組織学的に悪性褐色細胞腫であった。1987年4月頃より腰椎の転移が認められたために放射線治療，化学療法を施行。1988年2月現在，厳重に経過を観察中である。悪性褐色細胞腫の中でカテコールアミン産生が無く，血圧上昇を伴わない症例は，本邦報告例では自験例を含め5例目であった。

In a 36-year-old female, who had a tumor of left adrenal (hormone non-active type), left adrenectomy was performed on September 2, 1986. Histopathology of the resected specimen revealed malignant pheo-chromocytoma. As metastasis in the lumbar vertebra was detected in April 1987, radiotherapy along with chemotherapy was performed, and the patient has been closely monitored ever since. This is one of the five rare cases that have so far reported in Japanese literature as the tumor without the ability to produce cathecholamine and is therefore not complicated by hypertension.
