　褐色細胞腫の¹³¹I-MIBGシンチグラフィーの局在診断能について，褐色細胞腫6例，高血圧など褐色細胞腫を疑わせる14例計20例で検討した。褐色細胞腫6例中5例は真陽性，1例は偽陰性，その他14例は真陰性で偽陽性例はなく，有病診断率83.3％，無病診断率100％，正診率は95％であった。本法は褐色細胞腫の局在診断法として価値の高い検査法と考えられた。

The diagnostic efficacy of I-131-MIBG scintigraphy for detection of localized pheochromocytoma was studied in patients with this disease and 15 other patients suspected of pheochromocytoma. Five of the six patients with pheochromocytoma were true positive, while the other one was false negative. Fifteen suspected cases were true negative and none was false positive. The rate of sensitivity was 83. 3%, specificity 100% and accuracy 95% in diagnosis using this method, thus showing that MIBG scintigraphy is highly useful for diagnosis of localized pheochromocytoma.
