　58歳，男性。主訴は右側腹部痛，右下腹部痛，発熱。IVPで右腎は造影されず，逆行性腎盂造影で中部尿管の狭窄を認めた。CTでは右尿管からS字状結腸をまきこんだ後腹膜腫瘤を認めた。試験開腹により虫垂炎から生じた二次性後腹膜線維症と診断した。虫垂切除と化学療法で良好な結果を得た。

A 58-year-old man was admitted with the chief complaints of the right flank pain and lower abdominal pain and fever.Excretory urograms revealed non-visualized kidney on the right. Retrograde urograms revealed narrowing of mid-portion of the right ureter.Computed tomograms disclosed retroperitoneal mass involving the right ureter and sigmoid colon.Trans-abdominal open biopsy revealed retroperitoneal fibrosis due to appendicitis.Good therapeutic results were obtained from appendectomy and intensive chemotherapy.
